MoMA marries the MTA


The Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street subway station in Brooklyn has been plastered with copies of over 57 works from the Museum of Modern Art that will temporarily turn this gloomy station into an underground gallery. This is the largest publicity campaign for the MoMA in NYC and it most definitely speaks to the current economic situation that is most likely affecting the number of people that walk through their doors. All the images are of works drawn from all parts of the museum both well-known and more contemporary by artists like Matisse, Hopper, O'Keeffe, Cindy Sherman and more.
