So yesterday in my Palladium Platinum Printing class, my teacher Regina DeLuise (remember this post?) was teaching me how to apply Renaissance wax to my print on Beingfang (thin vellum-like paper) so that it would have more depth and separation in the blacks.

Since renaissance wax is used for finishing furniture I was baffled at the fact that we were just slapping it on our platinum prints with our hands (with cotton gloves) and that it's even archival! so I asked regina who the heck came up with this idea- because it works beautifully! and she said, very nonchalantly:

"Oh, I dont know... that's just how Jan Groover taught me"
