Two nights ago I watched Inocente, the Oscar winner short documentary. I cried like a baby; while I cannot relate to Inocente's life in many ways (I'm not homeless, I have two loving parents), I do feel like art saves my life on a daily basis. If this is not a very clear sign that the arts can lift our spirits and do wonderful things for our youth, our under-served populations, and people in general then I don't know what is. If you are on this blog, you probably already love/support the arts, let's never let this not be a priority, lets keep art alive in our classrooms and communities.
Watch Inocente now!
