Follies, Predicaments and Other Conundrums: The Works of Laure Drogoul

Over the past 5 months I have been heavily involved in the planning and execution of artist Laure Drogoul's first retrospective as part of MICA's Exhibition Development Seminar. Follies, Predicaments and Other Conundrums: The Works of Laure Drogoul opens tomorrow Friday Jan. 30th at MICA's Meyerhoff and Decker Galleries. The exhibition includes performance, sculpture, interactive works, collections, an incredible array of public programming, and an exclusive 14Karat Cabaret at the BBOX that includes a variety of artists who are flying in from places like Paris and New York City.

We are down to the last hours of installation and we have been installing over the past 2 weeks day and night, so it is bound to be a magnificent show!! I'm planning on doing an entry later on about my experience in this seminar and with the Curatorial Studies Concentration I'm currently pursuing.

Congratulations to all my fellow EDS classmates, we've put together this exhibition from scratch with our own hands: we've developed printed and web-based materials, creative public programming, exquisite installation and curatorial cohesiveness and rich written and visual content that is to be envied.

I will write more later, but for now you can come the opening, or read the blog, or visit the website!

See you all there!
