I finally got back my film from Seattle and I was able to do some digital contacts. Scanner generated contact sheets are far less satisfying that darkroom ones.
As a photographer, I tend to carry a camera around and just shoot away. I have slowly been accumulating more and more of these random pictures, creating a visual diary of sorts. The problem is that they don't really belong to a particular series of work or work cohesively as a whole in any way. I don't deem them useless because they are so much a part of my creative process and it is what keeps me making pictures. I have yet to figure where they fit, how they work within my body of work and how to share them and in which context. So for now I just have a plethora of pictures -most of them non-figurative, which is not the kind of work I usually make- and I'll have to figure out what to do with them.
