Today I'm sharing Carrie Will's work from her I Am Redundant project. These pictures explore her relationship with her twin sister and its effect on her identity. This project hits close to home in a peripheral way for me, I do not have a twin, but I have been documenting my relationship with my sister and for a long time my work has turned to my family as a means of understanding my own identity. Carrie's work finds its power in its quietness; sometimes the important things need only to be whispered. Carrie does a great job of translating the uncanny stipulations of her reality into pictures that don't tell you, but rather make you feel her message -isn't that what every artist wishes to achieve with their work? Here's is her statement and some images.
